Natalie was born and raised in Miami, FL. She began learning about the art of makeup by self-teaching using books and tutorials. Some of the most important books that she studied were Making Faces and FaceForward by the talented, late Kevin Aucoin.

In 2001, Natalie began formal training at Gabriel Productions in Coral Gables, FL. There, she learned all about daytime and evening makeup, makeup for photography and for film. This is also where her obsession with eyebrows was born.

 At Gabriel Productions, makeup artists are taught to shape and sculpt eyebrows by tweezing to help preserve the elasticity of the skin on your brow bone. The constant yanking and pulling of waxing will eventually exhaust the elasticity of your skin, causing it to sag prematurely. So...no thanks to that.

Later, Natalie started working as a make-up artist at Orchid Salon & Spa in Doral. Soon after, in 2003, she started FacePerfection and started working as a freelance makeup artist.
